Spring Fever

The biggest spring party in the Rocky Mountains is back! Breckenridge Ski Resort’s annual “Spring Fever” month-long festival will again return to Breck to end ski season with a bang, and will feature a series of events taking place from March 23 through Closing Day, April 20, 2014, both on the mountain and in town.

Spring Fever Concerts

Breckenridge Ski Resort has yet to announce the band lineup for this year’s Bud Light Concert Series as part of Breck’s annual Spring Fever Festival, so stay tuned to find out!

The Bud Light Concert Series brings the party to Breck with four concert days of big-name acts on Saturday and Sunday afternoons on the mountain. All concerts will be FREE to the public and will take place on a specially-constructed stage on the snow facing One Ski Hill Place, a RockResort, at the base of Peak 8, from 2-5 p.m. on each concert date.

Spring Fever is home to some of the toughest, gnarliest, most grueling on-mountain competitions in Colorado.

Ripperoo’s Mini World Cup
Come to the Swinger run on Peak 8; at this fun race, everyone’s a winner! Just show up at the start gate at any time throughout the day, fill out the registration form, RACE and win a special prize from Ripperoo! For kids of all ages who can ski or snowboard. Lift ticket required.

Saturday, March 29th

Come check out the 3rd annual Breck Throwback halfpipe competition, presented by Mountain Dew! Watch as pro snowboarders compete for a $15,000 prize purse and take on a two-fold challenge: competing in our 22-foot halfpipe and then a specially constructed 5-foot mini-pipe that is an exact replica of the first one built at Breck in 1985. Tricks no more than 540 degrees of rotation will be allowed, so each rider will have to get creative with straight airs, alley oops, huge slow spins, and hand plants. This event has truly become a crowd favorite and is not to be missed!


Charity Hockey Tournament at Breck
Fever Battle Charity Hockey Game
It’s time for the Third Annual Fever Battle Hockey Game! Breck Ski and Ride School will take on Patrol for a departmental showdown. Tickets are $5.00 at the door and the event is open to the public. Proceeds will benefit the Dwight Brill Celebration of Life Fund, which has given over $120,000 to over 350 Breckenridge Ski Resort employees in financial need. For more info, email or


Mascot Olympics at Breck
 Ripperoo’s Mascot Olympics
 Come to the base of Peak 8 for one of the zaniest free kid-friendly events anywhere! Breck’s official mascot, Ripperoo, has invited a bunch of his mascot friends from around Colorado to come to Breck and participate in a series of snow sports to determine who will win the Gold, Silver and Bronze in different wacky events!

The 2013 Imperial Challenge…the most unique pseudo-triathlon anywhere enters its 23rd year!!
RIDE your bike 6 miles from the Breckenridge Rec Center to the base of Peak 8 at the Breckenridge Ski Resort. ASCEND on your choice of gear to either the top of the T Bar (Sport Course 2500’) or to the tippy top of Peak 8 (Expert Course 3000’). DESCEND to the base of Peak 8 and the finish! Visit www.mavsports.comfor details including past results!

Chili Cook off at Breck

 Spring Fever Chili Cookoff
 Saturday, March 23 on Sevens patio. 12-2PM. $10 per person to taste all chili and to vote.

Sevens is going to get heated as the top chefs from Breckenridge Ski Resort face off against each other to see whose chili recipe is the best! Come on down to Sevens Patio starting at 12pm and indulge in all the chili you can handle, vote for your favorite recipe, all for only $10 per person! Tickets will be available on site at the event.


Coppertop bar at BreckenridgeBRC Ambassador’s End of the Year Jam

 This event benefits local graduating Seniors with Scholarships for further education. It will take place on Thursday, April 4th, from 3:30 to 6:30 pm at the upper floor of the Copper Top at Beaver Run Resort in Breckenridge. Invited local musicians will donate their time to help the Ambassadors raise money for the Scholarship Fund by jamming together and providing an exciting evening of après ski music. All are welcome and asked to show their support by a voluntary donation.
