We enjoyed this condo. It's in very nice shape, with nice kitchen appointments and disposable supplies. It's very clean and attactive. The ski in- ski out bit is true, but the snowflake trail to the condo is more walk on skis than ski. Some of it is even uphill, so for small children, it's not so convenient. I understand you can take 4 o'clock run and walk across the street, but we didn't get around to trying that before we left. Also, the outdoor hot tub was not hot the first night, so we had to call and ask for repairs. It was fixed the next night, but then it was very crowded.

    Dear Jay -

Thank you for your review! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guest’s are experiencing exceptional customer service.

I will follow up with our operations department concerning the hot tub not working and hopefully you were able to use the indoor hot tub with the outdoor one crowded. However, I am going to share this with the Homeowners Association to keep them posted on the usage levels of the outdoor hot tub just in case an additional outdoor hot tub might be looked at.

Your review of your stay in Riverbend #202 is greatly appreciated and please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge!

This is the second time we've stayed in Riverbend. We did it on our last visit to Breck 2 years ago. The 2 bedroom condo was nicely appointed. Worst thing. Only complaint might be that one room had twin beds and the mattresses were not as good as one would hope. This has been our main complaint after renting condos in breck over 8 times...the places are nice, but they either put old, or cheap mattresses in their condos. Enough complaining...now for the good stuff. The best thing...skiing location: Snowflake lift is just below the complex...Just below the lift is a Charter Sports Ski rental store. Walk down about 50 yards from the condo, pick out your skis, boots, poles and you're skiing. There is also a ticket booth right there. Charter will keep your shoes while skiing and then store your boots/poles/skis overnight at no charge. You never have to carry anything anywhere. The unit itself was clean and updated. Nice fireplace/windows and well appointed kitchen. Great parking underneath the condos, trollys to carry your stuff up to your room. Good jetted community spa/hot tub, steam room, etc...also had outside hot tub which we did not use. We've used Great Western Lodging 5 or 6 times in the past. Easy to work with. We plan to stay there again next year.

I have forwarded the information on to the owner of Riverbend Lodge #202 to note the need to replace their mattresses, in the second bedroom in particular.

    Comfortable with great location

My husband and I stayed in 202 Riverbend Lodge for 6 weeks in the summer. We found the unit to be well furnished and comfortable. The location was great, with easy access to the Sawmill Creek Trailhead and a nice walk into town. Great Western Lodging Company was very responsive to all our needs. The sofa bed was not usable for sleeping, as the heavy coffee table could not be moved. There was not much bathroom storage for long time useage. Other than that, we very much enjoyed our stay.

Great time, varied weather. Quiet pistes.

Staying in a condo beats a hotel anyday! We had plenty of room to spread out, enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and steam room after a long day of hiking. Loved coming back to the condo and sitting on the balcony with a drink to relax after being out all day. Close enough to town to walk in, and far enough away not to be bothered by the noise. Shopping for some groceries made the trip way more economical than eating out for every single meal. The kitchen is very well equipped. Breckenridge is big enough to find plenty to do, and small enough to feel like you've gotten away.

    Absolutely perfect

This was the perfect place for us. For two adults with 2- near adult teens this was exactly what we wanted at a reasonable price. Two bedrooms with twins in one and a separate bathroom with each. Also TV in each plus one large one in the main sitting area. Washer and dryer and extra amenities like toaster, coffee pot, iron and board and hairdryer (even though some of those are excluded in the listing). Walk out to lift just steps away and ski back a couple of ways with very short walk. Cupboards nicely stocked. Tastefully decorated. My only complaint: low water flushing toilets with a plunger that doesn't work. Might want to replace that! Luckily the weather couldn't have been better either. We stayed March 6-10, 2010. Sunny and high 30s the first two days then snowy and a bit cooler the next but the skiing was great! Also only a few blocks to walk to Main Street- even better once you figure out the short cuts.

The place was nice and roomy and had everything we needed. The one suggestion is that you would also supply plastic cups that we could use in the bathroom for brushing our teeth and for kids. We loved that they had the grocery card in the room so that we could get the discount. We also loved how the floor tiles were warm and thank goodness for the 2 humidifiers.

great location next to the lift

We stayed in unit 202 at Christmas 2008. The property is located steps from the snowflake lift--very convenient for ski out--not quite so for ski in (75 yards) but OK. The unit was furnished nicely and clean. Kitchen was very well outfitted with above average pots pans utensils for a rental condo. Heated underground parking and ski storage in parking area nice also. Indoor and outdoor hot tubs OK-small workout area. Nice property-would recommend unit 202 for 4-5 people.

    Snow Fun!

My husband and I and our 4 son's stayed at the Condo. It was nicely decorated and well layed out. Our one problem was the ski-lift next to the Condo - Ski in ski out. You could ski out to the condo but had to do alot of polling to get back. We had a wonderful time and will plan to use these accomodations again.

Great place to stay, on the slopes

My brothers, some friends, and I had a great week at this condo. This has been an annual vacation for my brothers and me. We always use Great Western Lodging to book our condo's because we are always satisfied with their service and great places to stay. This stay was even better than previous years because we could ski in and ski out of the unit (it is right next to the lift). We also like the heated garage that we were able to store the Yukon in. We were arriving late at night on the first night, so we had to stop of and get the keys from the drop box. Everything was in order when we arrived, and we were pleased to learn that the pictures online matched the home. There was a problem with the hot tub, but it was fixed by the middle of the week. Make sure you ask if the hot tub is in working order prior to checking in if that is really important to you. We don't usually need it until after day 2 of skiing anyway. We'd definitely recommend this condo to other small ski groups, including families. My brother and I have kids of our own and we would bring them, without hesitation. We cooked, the unit had a lot of cooking tools, so we were able to make all the meals we wanted to. We'll be looking to get back to a unit like this again next year.
