    To start with Sawmill Creek is a great location off the 4 O'Clock run so you can ski in and with a shuttle stop right next to it. Unit 308 has a great layout and view. The decor and furnishings are very good, tile and granite, nice wood trim. Flat screen TV, open kitchen with new and quality pots, pans etc. The owner has clearly spent money to upgrade this unit. Indoor spa. Elevator. Luggage carts. Convenient covered parking. We hope to stay here again next visit to Breckenridge. We recently came back and got put in unit 111, clearly 308 is a much better unit where the owners have spent money to upgrade it, I recommend asking for 308 and requesting to not get put in 111 if you have a choice.

    2nd year staying at Sawmill Creek Condo's during Presidents weekend, enjoyed the ski-in/out accommodations. Easy walking to main street in Breckenridge. Condo's are spacious and accommodating for a young family with kids. Looking forward to next year!

    Great Stay in Breckenridge at Sawmill Creek

    Beautiful condo at the foot of peak 8 in B-ridge, right off of the lift 4 run. Just two blocks from Main and about 900 feet from the Gondola. Definitely something to ask for if you come back in the wintertime, epically convenient to just about everything you need in the town - can see this being a repeat rental. The house was in nice shape, very roomy for four though it could easily accomodate double with no problem of room or crampedness in the main areas. Master could use a larger bed - a double for two people is a joke. Shower wa a little dated and needs a refresh, but all other amenities were fine. Had minor issues with checkin, but the town was empty so there was plenty to do. When the condo and the town are empty, its really not necessary to make someone wait until checkin ( less than an hour?). Stayed for five days, had no issues with any ammenities or breakdowns in service. Would def recommend this place to others in the future.

    We have stayed in Breckenridge numerous times. Our Sawmill unit was perfect for us - location, room sizes, light, towels, dishes. The only suggestion we could come up with for improvement was to have some potholders and more dish towels. We will definitely stay again.

    Reservation agent noted my request - quiet, top floor, large-screen TV for group viewing. Said she would keep the request in mind and periodically check to make sure request was satisfied ("trust me".) Would also make sure a large-screen TV was in room. Was given suite on 3rd (of 4) floor (4th floor apparently had been rented to several elephants who kept late hours), small TV, with bedroom and Lv. rooms directly on the main street (street was also the main HWY with heavy diesel trucks, motorcycles 24X7.) Later met another couple who rented much later than we did (same time period), had top floor, other wing, large-screen TV. So much for "trust me". Suite is getting tired - MBR window screen went missing (apparently fell off) twice in 7 day stay, MBR stool rocked when you sat on it (bad initial installation), hole in deck screen door, several lights in LR were burned out, some plugin sockets are too loose to make connection to plug-in, one BR light in-op, etc. Your guess as to whether I will again stay with Great Western.

    I want to apologize about your experience and the requests not being carried over to the new unit due to the room move. Those items should have been noted and addressed with the change in units and they clearly were not.

    I have also forwarded the information to the owner to note the window screen, stool and screen door. Maintenance is working on the lights and the sockets already for future guests.

    We had a great stay! Wife says "It was just lovely!" We really liked being right beside the 4 o'clock trail so we could ski off the mountain and right to the condo. Very well equipped condo-it had everything we needed.

    This was my second year renting at Sawmill as the first year was exceptional. This year not so much... the unit was badly in need of repair, where the baseboard heaters were pulling away from the walls, there was mold in the bathing areas, the wireless was spotty at best, the ice trays were cracked and leaking, the sleeper sofa was musty and stale. And worst of all, I travelled with 3 other guys, what I assumed, would be the same accommodations as the previous year, I was disappointed in the sleeping arrangements... 2 double beds, 1 queen , and a sleeper sofa...not what I expected...next time I will verify...I would rate this experience 'Just' average... the Super 8 motel would have better

    My husband and I had a very good stay there. The condo was nicely furnished and supplied with everything we needed. We didn't use kitchen for cooking, but it seemed well equipped with dishes and utensils. Beds were very comfortable.

    Breckenridge is always pleasent.

    The unit (308) does require some updating. Most of the furnishings date to early/mid 80's. Many of the units have been updated. Kitchen has been somewhat updated. Clean and comfortable.

    My husband and I visited in July to watch our son participate in the Firecracker 50. The condo was nice, but the bathrooms were extremely small and not the cleanest.

    We arrived on sunday feb.7th. About one hour after arriving it started. The running and banging from the unit above. It was loud and constant. We called Great Western about the noise. They said they would call them and ask them to be considerate. It got louder from there. Every morning at about 6 am kids running, then the banging, like they had heavy boxes in their hands and they were droping them. We called every day about this, and the only thing offered was for US to pay about 275.00 additional to move. We had already paid about 1400.00 for the stay and to pay more was out of the question. The sofa was old and wore out. It should have been placed on the curb for pick up. It WAS replaced on thursday..our last day. If I owned this unit I would have replaced it a long time ago. The shower in the first bedroom has mold and mildew growing in the grout. It was not a relaxing vacation at all. I want to relax when I vacation, not get woken up at 6 am EVERY MORNING from the kids above running and YES LOUD banging. Great Western should have told the family above that THEY would have to pay if they could not be considerate. I will go back to Breckenridge, but I will stay at a Hotel. I came home tired! All persons in my group were very upset at this ordeal and all feel the same. The owner of this unit should do some updating with the carpet as well as it is dirty. Overall a horrible vacation, overpriced condo, and a management comapny that should adopt a policy of not allowing young uncontrolled kids stay on any floor except the first!!

    the condo was great except that the hot tub was closed at 10 pm. there is a screen missing off the front bedroom window. We enjoyed our stay and it was a great value. Next time I would ask for a unit away from the street. (heard traffic)

    Near town and near street noise

    My family stayed in sawmill Creek #308 during August. We would definitely not stay there again during the summer and most likely would not during the ski season. There is limited on-site management, only part-time desk clerk who can call about your problems but has no staff on-site to help with any issues which might arise. This complex sits near a busy a intersection and near a bus stop in addition to being very near town. the near town is great, the near the intersection and bus is not. the noise from traffic is substantial. Buses and trucks were constantly gearing up and gearing down, so the noise is not even a steady noise, but a stopping and starting noise. Otherwise, the unit was nice, older but modernized and very convenient. If we were to return to this complex we sould definitely request a unit near the rear of the complex.

    This was a great place to stay. We loved the layout of the condo, plenty of room for two families. At the end of the day we could ski right to the elevator of our building. It is a short walk to all of the restaurants and ski rental is right across the street. We are coming back for our 2009 Spring Break trip.
