    Great value and location


    Stayed a week for fathers and sons ski trip--7 guys total. Pluses: great price and value; pleasant to deal with; very accommodating bed configuration for almost each of us to have their own bed; great location-several blocks walk to gondola or take bus across street to get there, ski back to within 20' of elevator via 4 O'clock run!, walk a couple blocks to Main st.; kitchen well equipped(cookware, etc.); good amount of seating for meals; lots of hooks for ski stuff; gas fireplace; indoor parking; indoor hot tubs. Minuses: tired looking and desperately needs an updating, including beds, décor, flooring, etc.; parking garage design requires an engineering degree to navigate around the misplaced pillars and odd angles and narrow spaces-very challenging to park a mid sized SUV; 2nd vehicle must be parked 2 miles away outdoors; no bathroom fans--unpleasant; unusual 2nd shower is tiny and poorly designed-showerhead faces open doors; clean, but dusty corners and baseboards; no pool. Overall, we got our money's worth and it was very convenient. Not high luxury, but certainly met our needs.

    Great Location!!!


    Great location and awsesome facilities. Check in was easy and fast. Facilities were superb. Stayed for 5 days and plenty of room in one condo for 10 folks.

    The view is fabulous.


    We had a couple of issues and called Great Western and they were resolved immediately. The view from the balcony was incredible and having both bedrooms overlooking the stream was divine. You could open the bedroom windows and hear the sounds all night. Made sleeping a wonderful, mountain experience.

    Great facility in the heart of Breckenridge! Walking distance to everything.

    Good company to work with. The property is getting a little long in the tooth and could use a renovation/upgrade. Interior doors need refinishing and modern Tv's would be nice. It was clean, well equipped and available and in a great location.

    Great Place!!


    I have stayed in Breckenridge many times at many condos. This place is one of the best locations yet. The group consisted of 3 mom's and 5 kids ages 6-10 (mom's and kids trip). The place was plenty big, close to town, the bike path, and gondola. The price was great and we would definitely stay here again.

    Great Experience


    We had an excellent experience and stay in Breckenridge. Lisa Citron, Director of Sales at Rocky Mountain Getaways help us plan the vacation and stay at Sawmill and I would definitely stay there again.

    Third Stay at Sawmill Creek Disappointing


    My family and I, four adults and two children (ages 10 and 12) have stayed at Sawmill Creek three times since January, 2008. Each time we had a different two bedroom condo. The first time (316) and second time (408) the units were in excellent condition. This last time (403) we were very disappointed to find numerous mechanical problems. We arrived to find the outside light over the door was burned out - we had to use our iphone flashlight to be able to see the keyhole to unlock the door. Once inside we found a very dangerous torchier lamp in the livingroom - it wouldn't always stay on! The heater in the master bath did not work. All the bowls and several plates in the cupboard were dirty and had to be hand washed before we could eat off of them. There were lights burned out in the second bedroom. When we used the gas fireplace, we smelled a strong chemical odor after 20 minutes and had to turn it off. It is too bad that we had this experience, it will cause us to be less willing to stay at Sawmill Creek unless we can get one of the previously mentioned wonderful units. We asked for 408 when I called in August to reserve for December but were told it wasn't available for the days we needed it. We love the location of Sawmill Creek and our experiences with Great Western Lodging have been favorable for the most part. We do wonder why no one from that management group found the problems we reported and fixed them before our stay.

    quick jaunt


    This was a wonderful property especially if you have small children learning to ski. One of the ski runs goes right behind the property. There was enough of a slope and snow that we could work with our son the first time he was on ski's. While we were there they were having problems with the spa -although disappointing they reimbursed us for the inconvenience. There was always parking, you are on the free shutttle route and near enough to the shops, restaurants and slopes that it wasn't stressful to get anywhere. We are hoping to stay there again this year.
