The place was great, newly renovated, clean, and a lot larger than we intended. The slopes are just 50 yards away. Outdoor hot tubs were perfect. I will definitely stay there again.

The place was rightly classified as a 3-star, and it was no better and no worse than a 3-star should be. A few major complaints though - even by 3-star standards; 1) the place is in desperate need of some refurbishing (the soap-holder in the bathtub had decades of mold growing out from behind it and the sofabed mattress was compressed to 2 inches!) 2) the water-pressure in the bathroom was impossible to modulate...no matter how slightly you open it, it still splashes everywhere, as if far over-pressurized. At the same time, the water pressure in the kitched sink was totally useless! ...whether hot or cold, a tiny trickle was the most it would put out. 3) and finally, the front-desk appears to be perpetually vacant! i have been trying 4 or 5 times a day since we checked out on Sunday to call the reception and there is never an answer and no answering machine!?!?!? we do live in the year 2013, yes???

    Manager's Response - 03/25/2013

    Dear Zade -

Thank you for your review! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guest’s are experiencing exceptional customer service.

I have forwarded this on to the owner to note the need for updates to the bath and living room, as well as shared with the maintenance department to have them check the water pressure in both the bath and kitchen.

Very strange about not reaching anyone here at the office, 970-453-1009, as we are open 7 days a week, 8:00am to 7:00pm, sometimes even later than that in the winter. But I was pleased that we reached out to you immediately upon receiving this review and confirmed that there were no incidental charges for your stay.

Your review of your stay in Trails End #107 is greatly appreciated and please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge!

We have gone to Breckenridge over five times in the past eight years and each time have stayed at lovely, clean, modern resorts. It was a total shock when we opened the door of our condo and looked around. It was horribly outdated, cheaply painted, dirty, stained, old carpeting. The bathroom paint was peeling off from the walls and visible black mold was all over. We immediately called the manager and explained our findings and request to be moved to another condo. We were denied this request because our funds had already been promised to the owner of our condo. We made multiple calls to our travel agent and there was nothing they could do as well. An employee came and looked over the property and took photographs of the problem areas. This condo should have never been rented out in that condition. I will continue to visit Breckenridge, but I will stear clear of this property or any other property managed by Great Western Properties.

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay in this property.

You had reserved a moderate 1 bedroom property through an online wholesaler. While these properties may not have the most updated furnishings, they certainly should be clean, well-kept and in good working order. The paint and mold in the bathroom should have been addressed prior to your arrival, and have since been rectified. After auditing our Trails End listing on this online partner?s website, we discovered that the pictures that had been posted were not those that we had submitted. As a result they were not representative of our Trails End 1 bedroom properties. This problem has also since been rectified.

I encourage you to go to our website, www.gwlodging.com, where we showcase the interior of each particular property that we manage. The greatest advantage our direct customers have is that they can preview and reserve the specific unit that they like the best. Many online and 3rd party booking sites may offer great package deals, but can?t offer the selection process that we do. Our staff also has an intimate knowledge of our inventory and can guide you to a property that will better suit your needs next time you come to Breckenridge.

This was a great place. Two things that might have been bette but are not that important. The Bed was not overly comfortable and the t.v. was not great. But we were not there to lounge in the bed and watch tv. We were there to ski.

    Very Convenient Place to Stay

This property was very convenient for skiing being a truly ski-in, ski-out location. The condo was nicely and comfortably furnished and had everything in the kitchen we needed so that we could eat breakfast and some lunches in. Location was at one end of town but rest of town was within walking distance. We did not need our car during our stay until we went to another town (out of Breckenridge). I would definitely stay there again. This property was recommended and booked through Rocky Mountain Getaways which I also highly recommend for all travel and accommodation needs.
