Description

This 4 bedroom, 3 bathroom and 2 half bathroom home is one of the best riverfront locations in Breckenridge! Located just a quick walk to Downtown Breckenridge and the slopes (or ride the free shuttle), yet still have the tranquility of the surrounding trees and the relaxing sounds of the river in your backyard. The house layout is designed to provide many options for guests to gather -- whether it is hanging out in the large, full kitchen, relaxing on one of the two decks overlooking the river, or playing games (board games, pool, Wii) in one of the four game/great rooms.

Riverside is tailored for rental guests with an entry room to store your skis/snowboards, a full and spacious laundry room, high-definition TVs in each bedroom and great room, a Wii with many games, and a large and fully-equipped kitchen. The floor plan includes separate and communal spaces to hang out (indoor and outdoor) and comfortable furnishings geared toward all levels of activities (including naps!). There is something for all age groups and interests at the house to keep you happy when you aren’t skiing, hiking, shopping, or exploring Breckenridge. Board games and Wii for gamers, high speed WiFi for personal computers (or use the provided computer), an outdoor hot tub, quiet spaces to read or nap, and a pool table for friendly competition.

Six (6) beds spread across 4 bedrooms including two primary bedrooms with private bathrooms and two additional bedrooms with a jack-and-jill bathroom (perfect for two families). Four separate rooms for different activities (pool table room, upstairs great room, downstairs great room and additional game room) as well as a full and spacious kitchen, two large decks and two large tables (one indoor, one outdoor) for group meals. The living spaces are covered in floor-to-ceiling windows that provide an beautiful backdrop of falling snow in the winter and wildflowers in the summer. Two fireplaces and heated floors throughout the house provide warm comfort when it’s cold outside. This house is truly unique in its combination of comfort, amenities and union with the mountains (and river!) of Breckenridge.

Unique aspects:

Riverfront property - there are very few riverfront houses in Breck. The river is a constant source of background tranquility in the winter and summer. It never totally freezes and the sound of the trickling water is relaxing, no matter the season.

Location, Location, Location! Save on parking by walking to the Quicksilver Lift or the Beaver Run Super Chair to ski. Walk to town for meals or walk to the bus stop for a free bus ride anywhere in town, including the slopes. Close to town/slopes without the business of Breckenridge in the winter.

Useful space - Riverside’s living space has been furnished to provide many independent gathering spaces to allow activities.

Nice place.
We had a nice time at Riverside. Kitchen is well stocked and house was clean. The fourth bedroom has a queen bed NOT two twins and the 3rd bedroom does not have a TV. Stairs are a huge doozy if you have asthma, out of shape, or not used to the altitude. Town is pretty far.
We had fun and the river view was great. Played games in the card table room. A fox came to the back door on the first night which was fun.

Lovely home. Very well maintained and updated. Loved the views of the river . We were a group of 7 people with plenty of room for all. The stairs in this home are an issue if you aren't in good shape or without health issues. Would be tough with small kids. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves and would stay again.

Beautiful house! Perfect for our group of 7 adults, but could add more without feeling crowded. Very spacious. The river provided a beautiful view and the noise of the water going by was peaceful and calming. The multiple living areas were a plus, we could spent time together and apart. We loved the two outside decks and used both the grill and the hot tub. It took us about 15 minutes to walk to town on the Warriors Mark trail. The walk was fun every time. The owners did a great job of updating the bathrooms and kitchen and Great Western Lodging is doing a great job of keeping it clean and maintained. Some reviews mentioned a strange layout, but we did not find that to be the case. It is really a classic 2-story house. Master, kitchen, living areas downstairs; game room and extra bedrooms upstairs; a bonus pool room on the top (maybe used to be the garage). The only difference is that you enter upstairs since it is built on a slope down from the road. You can enter on the second story and avoid the top stairs if you want. We would not hesitate to stay again.

Home was well equipped and spacious. Two gathering rooms provided plenty of space for our group of 7 to spread out for quiet time or gather together. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. Home was convenient to bus line and easy Uber to anywhere we needed to go. Walking is also convenient if you are used to to the altitude changes!

The property had great amenities and was well suited for a large group. The location in respect to Breckenridge mountain was walking distance which was a huge plus.

An ideal ski lodge- 10 minute walk to the Quicksilver lift at Breckenridge. Very comprehensive kitchen equipment, comfortable beds & quality showers, plenty of space to socialize and relax between an upstairs game room incl. pool table, living room, and study containing board games. Host had the hot tub ready for us upon arrival which was a great touch! Temperature in the home is somewhat finnicky, common areas can be colder while bedrooms would get hot & dry through the night.

We enjoyed our stay in this property. The only complaint we have is that the kitchen is on the bottom floor; and the entrance into the home is the top floor. Getting groceries down to the kitchen (making several trips) can be difficult. Otherwise, it was a great place for our family.

The property was great for our group of 9, with enough space for everyone. The property was in great condition and access to the restaurants and shops and bus transportation was convenient. Property is 3 levels with lots of stairs, and while this worked well for our group, may be something to consider when renting the property. Overall a fantastic experience!

This was a great property overall! We had plenty of room for everyone in our group, didn't feel cramped at all, and loved the experience. The location was great. There was a pathway through the trees right across the street that we took to the slopes while skiing. It only took us ~7 minutes of walking to get to the base of peak 9. If you don't want to walk through the trees, there's a stop for the free shuttle right down the street. The private hot tub was great for relaxing after a long day on the slopes. The kitchen was stocked with more pots, pans, and utensils than we needed, so that made cooking very easy. The check in process was a breeze - approximately 5 minutes or less to sign some release forms and receive keys. If you're looking for a place to stay, I would highly recommend this one.
