Great ski in-ski out location, especially for novice skiers. Walk to town or catch a bus right outside the condo. The condo is very comfortable for a couple. A family with young children would also work but it seems too small for two couples. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots, and pans. We would return to this condo.

The location at Trails End was great. Super close and easy to walk to shops, restaurants, and bars. The unit was very clean and had everything you would need for a great stay. The TV did not work when we arrived so we called the management company. Someone was there in less than 30 minutes and had the situation resolved in 10 minutes. Great Service!! We would stay there again!

The place was clean and conveniently located to the lifts and downtown. The only issue we had was with the late check in, there was no pen in the box, or in our rental for that matter. This made it so we had to physically go back during business hours the next day to sign and turn in paper work, when we could have been on the mountain instead. So my recommendation would be to have a pen/pens in the lock box and a pen in the rental. Will consider staying here again in the future!

Manager Response:

Hi Katie,

Thank you so much for letting us know about your stay! We will be sure to put pens in the late arrival box so this doesn't happen again!

The ski-in/ski-out is as advertised: we would ski-in almost to the backdoor at the end of the day. Very walkable to the south end of Main Street. The only thing I would point out is that the pool and hot tub advertised is a bit misleading...there is a medium hot tub inside and a separate medium hot tub outside on property and a larger pool & hot tub were at a separate location 'across the street' which was a bit farther away than it seems in the write-up.

Manager Response:

Thank you Mike for your review! We value guest feedback and are glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay!

In regards to the Upper Village pool area that our guests who stay with us at our Trails End condos get access to, we do have a sentence in our description for this property indicating that the upper village pool area is across the street. We are sorry that you didn't see that! We went ahead and made sure that we put this in more spots on our descriptions and photos to ensure that future guests do understand that there are onsite hot tubs, but also the Upper Village pool area is across the street. Thanks for noting.

Trails End is a great complex with ski in/ski out , near the ski school, and a very easy walk to town. We had everything we needed and the condo was very clean, but the lighting seriously needs updating. The kitchen and bathroom lights just need an upgrade from fluorescent. The bedding could use an update as well. Overall, it was a really nice place. There are, however, nicer units in this complex.

Manager Response:

Hi Johnna  - thank you for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the location! We will notify the homeowners in regards to the lighting in the kitchen and bathroom, as well as the bedding.

Please let us know if we can assist with future stays in Breckenridge, as you will get a repeat guest discount!

Why cram into a noisy ski town condo during peak season? Breck offers some of the most peaceful and beautiful off season experiences in the Rockies. The space was clean, nothing added that wasn't needed, quiet and nicer than the photos on the booking page reveal. I did feel a bit sad to discover the pictured boom-box had been removed, rendering all my Heart, ZZ-Top and REO Speedwagon cassette tapes useless. Go Breck...and go in the fall.

Wonderful!

The staff at Great Western are exceptional ... professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and quick to assist with any and everything. Trail's End is simply wonderful. The location is perfect. It's like you step off the main thoroughfare to go to your condo, and as if by magic you're in this private, quiet, sweetly secluded space. It's awesome! Our condo was pretty, clean, lacked absolutely nothing, and our patio view was of trees, nature, and beauty. Loved the spa and sauna!! In fact, we loved everything about Breckenridge, Trail's End, and Great Western. Thanks so much for everything!

We were very pleased with our stay. It was a quiet time to be there and we loved that. Both hot tubs were among the best we have used, great jets! We ate all meals in the unit and were particularly pleased with the available culinary equipment. This unit felt like home and it was obvious that the owners take pride in their offering.

The condo was very clean and worked just great for my family. The only issues we had was that it smelled like fish pretty bad so every time we left and came back we were subject to the smell. Also the pool was out of service which was a huge bummer. If light blocking shades were placed in the unit it would be awesome. It gets really bright in the mornings. Also extra towels would be great. The mattress pad on the pull out couch looks like it needs to be replaced.

Manager Response:

Dear Jenn:

Thank you for your review of your stay in Trails End #218! We always like to hear from our guests and this is great information for us to make sure that our units are getting the attention needed and guests are experiencing exceptional customer service.

I have shared your review with Operations Department in regards to the fish smell. I also shared you review with the homeowners regarding the shades, and mattress pad - thank you for noting!

Please let me know if there is anything I can assist with for your next trip to Breckenridge!

Great apartment in a not so great complex

First of all, we were very comfortable in apartment #218 and there was nothing we wished for. All of our creature comforts were present and we were quite satisfied. If it wasn't for the complex that condo #218 is located in, I would definitely rate the apartment much higher than a 3. Here is the issue, however: during our 14 day stay in the condo, there were two Breckenridge-wide power outages. None of the hallway emergency lights in the Trails End worked. You were either trapped in your condo (as my husband was) or trapped trying to get to your condo (as I was). We reported the failure of the emergency lightings after the first power outage that we experienced. The response was to test the fire alarms. The second power outage occurred after the emergency alarms were tested and, still, the hallways were pitch black. The lack of emergency lighting is a significant safety issue.
Every building is likely to have problems with leaky pipes and there was some water damage in the entry way. That in itself is not a problem. But I felt so sorry for the man who was fixing the dry wall in the entry way before the leak had been fixed. His dry wall patching disintegrated the day after he put it up, because the leak wasn't fixed and water continued to seep through his patch job. If you are the owner of #218, which is a nice unit, you should apply some pressure to whomever manages the Trails End.

Manager Response:

Dear Pat,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, we are delighted to hear you enjoyed your stay! We have notified the property managers of the emergency lights and they have since all been replaced, we appreciate you bringing this to our attention.

If there is anything we can assist with in the future please call our office at (970)453-1009, we hope to see you again soon!

This is a great location and was very quiet while we were there. Maintenance needs to fix the tub/shower- soap dish as it was not fastened to the wall and spun around upside down. The water pressure was great and hot water was plentiful. The sliding glass door channels need to be cleaned and lubricated so that they are not so hard to move and the screens were both needing to be replaced. The rest of the condo was in great shape, so if these items would be fixed it would be near perfect.

Manager Response:

Dear Jacqueline,

We are glad to hear you enjoyed your stay in Trails End #218! I have passed along the maintenance issues with our staff to make sure these problems are resolved, we appreciate you noting this as your input is used to continually improve the experience we provide to guest.

Thank you for the wonderful review, please let us know if you ever need assistance while booking your next stay or while in house!
