It’s official, winter is here in Breckenridge! The first snowfall in early October covered our peaks over 4 inches, and ski conditions for this upcoming season are predicted to be just as great as last year, if not better. If you’re considering a trip to Breckenridge this winter, consider booking during the early ski season. Many often forget about the awesome deals, crowd-free town, shorter lift lines, and all the magic that this quaint snowglobe-like town provides during the holidays. Read on to discover why you should book your ski vacation in November or December this year.

Beat The Crowds

Take it from a local - November skiing in Colorado is actually pretty awesome. If you’ve ever been to Breckenridge, you know how crazy the traffic can become during peak season, especially during spring break and Fourth of July.  November skiing is one of our best kept secrets (but we’ll share it with you).

By booking your trip in November or early December, you can enjoy all of the town's best restaurants and charm without the crowds. Enjoy the peace and quiet of our beautiful mountain town the way the locals like to!

Another huge perk of November and early December skiing are avoiding the long lift lines. Don’t let the early season deals fool you, the snow is actually quite good this time of year! Enjoy fresh tracks with plenty of powder, and the slopes mostly to yourself.

Locals tip: Ski on weekdays for even more powder stashes.

Enjoy Lower Rates

If the crowdless slopes aren’t enough to convince you, the deals will. Lift ticket prices increase exponentially as the season goes on, so be sure to snag your discounted lift tickets during November and December!

Enjoy lower rates on lodging, equipment rentals, and even dining during these months. Your wallet will thank you!

The Holidays Are More Magical in Breckenridge

There’s just something special about spending the holidays in a tiny ski town. Nestled in the mountains, the air is more crisp, fluffy snow covers the town, and holiday charm is everywhere.

To kick off the holidays, join us in early December for the Lighting of Breckenridge and Race of the Santas. There’s even a holiday dog parade, what could be better?
