If you haven’t experienced Fall in the Colorado mountains, now is the time. This blog is jam packed full of fun and unique things to do this Fall in Breckenridge in addition to awesome places you should scope out to capture those amazing aspen tree shades of red and gold. Although Breck is magical in the winter, visit us at 9,600 feet in the Fall to experience this mountain city during a different season.

From the crisp mountain breeze, glowing aspens and sunny skies, fall is one of the most spectacular times to visit Breckenridge. Whether you escaped the city for a weekend getaway to the mountains or your first time visiting, it’s one of our favorite times of the year and we want to help you enjoy it as well!

After an unbelievably beautiful June that followed a very wet May, we are now into July and it appears mother nature is going to play nice again this year allowing Breckenridge to host it’s annual Independence Day firework celebration on Tuesday, July 4th. While there aren’t many bad viewing area’s, I wanted to give you the inside scoop on where the BEST places to view the fireworks in Breckenridge are!

Breckenridge Town Winter - Arts District

As we begin to see our economy improve, many people are beginning to travel more often with more expendable income at their disposal. This December 11th – 14th, the Dew Tour returns to Breckenridge Ski Resort to celebrate its 10th anniversary with the Mountain Championships! This will be the seventh straight year this tour has come to Breck for four days of freeski and snowboard competition.

Breckenridge’s 19th annual Oktoberfest, September 13 – 15, includes a fun–filled weekend of fall foliage, great parties, Paulaner Bier, genuine German cuisine, collectable steins and special accommodation packages. Don’t miss the largest Oktoberfest in the Rocky Mountains.

What started out as a gleam in our eye has grown into a staple on the Colorado mountain bike racing calendar. Why the 4th? Because absolutely nothing athletic was happening in our town. Sure Scott Yule, Mike Zobbe, Ellen Hollinshead, Monique Merrill, and a host of other local mountain goat legends were bagging a 14er, skiing 4th of July Bowl on Peak 10, or riding their favorite epic. But nothing organized was happening.
